it's a really tiny gold coin that has a bird on one side and it says united states of America and underneath the bird it says twenty dollars and on the other side it has a head with stars around it and underneath the head it says 1886 this coin is very tiny and is inside a little ordinary box that has a swade holder made specially for the coin. This coin was my dad's and i found it in his drawer years after my mom kicked em out, so how much do you think it's worth?

US $1.25

at least 20 dollars
A real $20 gold piece is not small and is 34 MM in diameter. That makes it larger than a 1/2 dollar. It sounds like one of the mini coins that came out first in the 1960’s. It is not a U.S. mint item, but a private mint item. The coins were usually only gold plated. having a holder for it means that it might have been part of a set of coins like a one a month type deal. It has no collector value to coin collectors but may have some value to people that collect that type item. You can try ebay in the tokens or medals section and see if one like you have is for sale. The problem with items like you have is there are no reference books and no one knows just how many were made. That kind of stops anyone from investing money in it. Hope this helps some.

I am from Croatia but I must agree that French players are better than Croats. Karabatić is now better than Balić and Duvnjak. Bertrand Gille is better than Vori, Michael Guigou is better than Ljubo Vukić, Omeyer is better than Alilović, but Abalo and Čupić are =.
Israel Vasquez was just sour-graping. He used to be Pacquiao’s stable mate and sparring partner, but he never had popularity like Pacquiao has. That’s why he rooted for Cotto.

First of all scratches are damage to a coin, by it hitting others or being improperly cleaned, or done on purpose. Die cracks form when the die gets old and it is not taken out of use before that happens. A cud is what is caused when a piece of the die is actually missing. These days die cracks are common on coins due to the high speed presses and saving money by using the die longer. I just read in one of the coin papers that it is so common on state quarters, that in most cases there is no premium. If a large part of the coin is missing then it has value. To see if a coin has been whizzed (cleaned to be a grade it is not) use a 100 watt light bulb in a lamp, hold the coin under it and twist and turn the coin, use a magnifying glass no more than 10X, if you see small scratches it has been whizzed or cleaned improperly. As for the yellow quarter, it sound like it has toned due to being near a chemical, or put into a chemical. Do not keep coins anywhere near house cleaning supplies and if kept in a drawer make sure no moth balls, or clothes that have been in a fabric softener. When it comes to a coin that has color, you can not use a flash. Take the coin outside with the sun behind you to the left or right and take the picture.
