Carpenter's glue is water based, so I would try either water and vinegar or water and ammonia. Both mixtures are 50/50, and make good general cleaners. You may have to let it soak for a while to soften up the glue. Try wetting it down, then leaving a wet rag on top of it for a few minutes.
